Click here for the link to the City of Cape Town's Residential Solid Waste Services.
Click here for the link to the City of Cape Town's Guide to Hazardous Waste in the Home and Community, eg paint, chemicals, pesticides, asbestos, healthcare waste, electronic waste.

The City of Cape Town’s waste trucks collect in the area as follows:

·         Tokai and Zwaanswyk:                                       Wednesday mornings

·         Tokai Hamlet (Keyser River & Vans Roads):         Monday mornings

Residents are requested not to put out their wheelie bins on the night before as this encourages crime to the area.

Bin Theft must be reported to SAPS. Residents may wish to note the serial number of their bin, found under the handle.

Garden Waste Collection
Residents may apply for ad-hoc garden refuse collection through the City of Cape Town’s call centre (see details below). There is a charge for this collection.

Illegal Dumping should be reported to the City of Cape Town with full details: Date, Time, Place, Description of Person/Vehicle, Registration No, Description of 'dump' (eg garden, building waste) etc. Photographic evidence is ideal.
